Back-to-school Bikeability with students from Samuel Rhodes School

In partnership with the Bikeability Trust, Bikeworks is piloting cycle training for SEND young people and skilling up the next generation of Inclusive Cycling Instructors.

At Bikeworks we believe everyone should have the opportunity to access cycling.

Nick and Syed have been delivering a one-week course to six students at Samuel Rhodes School using our fleet of exciting adapted and 2-wheeler cycles.

All the young people increased their cycle control skills, with four of the students going on to gain the skills to cycle independently on the road.

One student, Lali, told us how he now knows how the brakes work and how to slow down and stop. He now wants to visit more places by bicycle, commenting that the week learning new skills was “cool”. We’ll happily take that feedback Lail!
