Ride London 2023 recap
We had a fantastic time at this year’s Ride London event which took place on a beautiful, sunny day in the capital.
This year’s event included two Festival Zones, located at Bank and St Paul’s, where riders could stop for mechanical help, food and drink and enjoy activities such as music, games and face painting. Bikeworks and fellow partners Wheels for Wellbeing were part of the accessible activation zone where our glorious fleet of inclusive cycles were available for everyone to try.
Jamie Lawson, Inclusive Cycling Advisor for Bikeworks took on the 30mile route with Naomi, our Social Cycling Project Lead – pictured below.
What an amazing day. What an amazing team that made it happen, What an amazing buddy! Taking part in such an iconic event such as Ride London was definitely unthinkable growing up as a disabled person. I felt privileged to ride and hopefully we are making others realise just how inclusive cycling can be. -Jamie
It was quite tough but great at the same time. Jamie and I have got to know each other pretty well over the last couple of years; crossing that finishing line with her was epic. What an achievement, those hills were totally worth it. -Naomi
A tiring, but enjoyable day cycling and having fun – Ride London delivered yet again, a great event.
Bring on 2024!
