  • Ride London 2024

Ride London is a big event in the Bikeworks calendar and this year was no exception. Our collaboration with the team at Ford Ride London and the London Marathon Events team, alongside our friends, Wheels for Wellbeing, provides us with the opportunity to showcase  our fleet of inclusive and adapted cycles on the streets of London at some iconic locations.

This year we had the pleasure of being at St Paul’s Cathedral where the team facilitated the Inclusive Activation Zone. The Cycle Connect service was out-and-about throughout the day taking visitors who would not be able to get around on the FreeCycle on one hour tours using our side-by-side fleet.  And, of course, our buddy riders were out supporting our All-Ability members to participate in the 30 mile event.

Fun and Freedom – Sharing an Inclusive Cycling Experience

Along with our friends at Wheels For Wellbeing the team was on hand facilitating a try-out area for members of the public to experience the fun and freedom of inclusive and adapted cycles. A great location for our riders to come and say hello to us while enjoying the pleasure ride of the FreeCycle.

Marie & Maryann were great fans of the 7 mile route that takes in London’s top locations.

Cycle Connect – Here We Come

Our Side-By-Side Cycles were as popular as ever, the beauty of the 4-seater cycle is the inclusive nature of being together and having a trained Cycle Pilot lead while you chose to pedal or relax. This is a great way for everyone to enjoy the FreeCycle. Find out more about our unique Cycle Connect service.

The BIG one! – 30 Mile Ride

Our All-Ability riders took on the challenge of 30 miles, with Stella returning for her second year, with Buddy Rider Luca. An incredible effort also from our riders from Victoria Park, their cycling journey begun by accessing the Tower Hamlets’ Cycle Training group sessions. With dedicated pre-ride training delivered by Marvellous Marlis, they set off fully prepared for the miles of motorway hill climbs. Congratulations to all, what an amazing achievement.

We captured a few words describing how riders were feeling before and after their 30 miles.
